Description

The AgriShift® JLL 8 Watt LED light fixture is optimized for layer house lighting, especially in aviary and enriched colony systems. With Dim-to-Red® technology increased egg production is stimiluated as well as earlier and longer peak laying period. Fixture replaces most common U-tube and curly-Q fluorescent light fixtures (5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 watt) when used with barn dimmer controller. The tall lens gives extended light coverage above the mounting plane (lit area extends behind the fixture). Short height lens works well in constrained space environments and avoids interference with birds and maintenance tasks.

The AgriShift® JLL makes it easy to improve the production and welfare of your bird by providing natural daylight simulation. The optimized Dim-to-Red® light spectrum decreases time to peak production by stimulating ovulation through the release of reproduction stimulating hormones. Sunrise and sunset simulation eliminates the stress inputs of abruptly switching lights on and off, which can lower mortality and support immune response. Research shows immediate changes in bird behavior, increased performance and lower overall stress indicators.

The Science Behind the Technology
The AgriShift® JLL has a deep red saturated light output, with an added blue and green spectrum, benefiting the vision of your animal. The enhanced red spectrum is the only spectrum which stimulates a hen’s hypothalamic and pineal oscillators, helping maintain circadian rhythms and promotes sexual maturity. It also stimulates the release of two reproduction regulating hormones essential for sexual maturation and daily egg production.
